Hi All, great advice on the chair thanks but now i'm after some wet weather gear.

 

being a big bloke i'm havin trouble finding some.

If you want real waterproof hard wearing stuff You will not beat wax jackets ok they may be heavy and not breathable but if your going to use it in a rough way Id avoid the breathable fabrics as they will need attention fairly quikley Yes even gore XCR is prone to getting wet out and once that happens it aint breathable any more so your £200+ coat does nothing more than a £20 wax exept be lighter

I use gore stuff a lot in the mountains and it is good but NOT the most practicle thing for fishing in mud brambles etc
