Tidecutter stainless wire line?

Anyone know if this wire line is still available?

Used to use it myself for wrecking many years ago - used it on a Penn Master Mariner, which I dismantled and re-assembled with rubber tubing around the cross bars - they acted as sprung rollers to keep the line tidy. Only needed replacing every couple of years.

 

As far as I know Tidecutter wire is not made any more.

 

Veals offer Mason Multistrand wire in 30,45 and 60 lb BS and also singlestrand (annealed to make it less springy) in the same strengths.

 

Keeping the line taut (especially when dropping down) to avoid kinks was very important - not difficult, but needed careful attention.

PS There is a "Tidecutter" still made, but it is braid, not wire.
