Its nice to see some MP's on our side but the reply from the right hon Ben Bradshaw, under sectretary for environment, food and rural affairs "that stocks are at healthy levels and that our policies ensure that they are".

I'm afraid I find that statement from the reply MP very difficult to accept.

The success here, is that this matter was discussed in Parliment at all.

Hopefully the upcoming "economic evaluation" and the study groups recommendations, will progress our case even further.

Full credit to all those involved.

Hiya Nigel

I have just read it very quickly for the first time tonight and will read it in more detail in the morning, unless I missed it, it reads as:

"It is in everyone's interests—both commercial and recreational fishermen—that stocks are at healthy levels and *that our* policies ensure that they are."

[my stars for emphases]

Which, in its entirety reads far more positively, than the section you posted. May I ask if you got the snippet from another report covering the debate which did not report the full transcript?

Thanks for your help
