For any anglers who are against the proposed sea rod licence I have produced an A4 poster and a leaflet to coincide with the online petition http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/anglers/ (just in case someone didn't know)

The leaflet is a 2 sided A4 microsoft word document that folds into 3 to create a brochure/leaflet, here is a preview

it can be downloaded here http://file2upload.net/download/19752/leaflet_1.doc.html

The poster is just a standard single sided A4 sheet, here is a preview

it can be downloaded here http://file2upload.net/download/19841/Poster.doc.html

If every angler on here who is against the licence could print of some of these and place them in your local tackle shop, your car or anywhere else you can think of it would help spread the word.

Cheers

Joe

Welcome to the forum Joe, i take it that you are against then? :)

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Barry is not alone there is many thousands of anglers out there who feel the same no ,no ,no we dont want this tax on angling.

Hi, I don't think i said yes or no to the licence in this instance. The problem i see regarding the rsa winning anything from defra or the goverment is the amount of disjointed ideas, petitions, etc floated around at present. They are getting watered down with every new item and they will not have the desired result. No disrespect to the dogs but his petition is another that will not attract the amount of people to make any difference. Henry's petition regarding closing areas of the sea to commercial fishing has now less than three months to run, yet has attracted less than 4000 sigs. The only e petition that did attract attention is the one regarding road pricing and that one had hundred of thousands.

What the rsa need is the likes of a nffo type organisation ( without discredited guys running it) who shout and defra come running.

Interesting this snippet of information that I had in an email:

To my astonishment and I quote (I wrote it down word for word), Alex McKenzie of M&FA said:

"Noises coming from the Treasury recently indicate there will be no more 'taxes' announced in the near future or anything which might be construed as 'stealth tax' like a licence for Sea Anglers.

Policy is that charges will be made for essential management, administration and benefits for anglers as with any group receiving Government Funding.

However, charges will not be made for 'nothing'.

At present anglers get nothing and, therefore, will not be expected to pay anything.

Bear in mind though, that Defra included the possibility in the Bill for a reason."

What gov funding do the rsa receive? Or will it be funding in the future for the guys in suits to run an organisation to oversee the rsa. Or is it just men in suits playing with words as usuall without actually acheiving anything for fishing uk.

The Governing bodies get Sports England funding for sport development type activities (ie excluding political lobbying, conservation etc), which has been cut quite a bit recently, and now will no longer go to the governing bodies but to a new quango, the Angling Development Board which will spend the money on such things as developing angling in schools and other things that have Sport England approval.

Have a look at: http://www.sacn.org.uk/Conservation-and-Po...to_Disband.html

And down the page at: http://www.fishingdartmouth.co.uk/how_fishing.htm

(And maybe at: http://www.worldseafishing.com/blogsdiarie...of_change.shtml )

For some of the fallout from that.

(ps The sentence "At present anglers get nothing ..........." I interpret as 'get no benefit', rather than cash for the angling organisations.)
