you will certainly have problems with a baseball bat unless you can prove you play a bit of baseball but a large torch ofcourse is a torch ,i have a very large 6D maglight right next to my front door because i may need it to look for stuff when its dark ;)

being here though i have only used it for looking for stuff after dark ,my camera for being nosey not burglers as yet and my locks on my shed and car for my sense of safety ,if i had none at the moment everything would be perfectly safe but i like to be prepared just in case.

you can get strips of plastic blunt "spikes" for just the very same thing ,cant damage people but makes sitting on them uncomfortable ,however how long they would remain in place is up to the amount of effort installing them.

if the queen can be protected by spikes and razor wire on walls why not every one else ,so long as they were out of reach of "accidental" touching and signed ofcourse.

the spikes on buck house used to rotate (another useless fact by chesters1)

i expect it only recently signs were used on buck house walls even the most illiterate victorian thief probably saw the danger of trying to get over them unlike the nanny state we have now ,i'm surprised fires in houses dont have a large sign saying "hot when lit" and radiators have embossed into them "do not touch" its becoming so pathetic

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle
