Flush Mount Rod Holder

Hi all I want to fit my flush mount holders tonight as I have my sikaflex now but they only come with self tapping screews will these be good enough with sikaflex or do I have to have well nuts ?

 

They will really only be used for transporting the rod when paddling and to fish with I have a berkley rod holder that looks identical to the scotty rod holder that has full adjustment

Hi....if you can get to the inside,use nuts and bolts,if not then the rivets are good.

I've put mine on with the screws and had no problems so far, I always set my drag on the reel light anyway so can't see it being a problem. I think using the rivets or bolts is over engineering it.

I bought it from local fishing shop they selling them for only £12.99 with 3 different mounting styles (Flush, Rail and Side), thats cheaper than ebay and they want postage too
