protect underside of yak

Anyone got any ideas on protecting the underside of the yak during transportation to the water. Ive got a trolley but alway seem to badly scratch the yak when going over fences, railings.

Try taking an old length of carpet with you, drape it over the fence to protect the hull.

I would suggest using the gate :P

1 on the lure is worth 2 from the bait.

I asked the same question on the US of A kayak site

Answer :- drag it across rock, shingle ect then you won't be worred about a single scratch

I must go down to the sea again

To the lonely sea and sky

I left my shoes and socks there

I wonder if they're dry?

I launch from canal towpaths a lot with concrete edges and I have a 2ft x 2ft length of carpet. Also useful over trailing edge of car roof when lifting yak on in case balance lost just stops scratching. ( The car not the yak.

On a similar point I have dragged my yak up and down the beach in and out of the surf before fitting the wheels and have noticed the trailing corner of the keel is burring. Has anyone tried anything to reduce this wear?
