will grayling take small spinners ?as I was spinning today with a small spinner and I had a take from something that fought and looked like a grayling ,I didn't manage to get that much of a look though because it was only on briefly and escaped.Do very small pike fight like grayling?

Yes grayling do take small spinners. I used to make small 'fly spoons' specifically for grayling, but it didn't stop trout, chub, perch, and the occasional roach or dace from taking them.

Just about every fish will take fry at some time, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a grayling, dapper.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
