Hope so Budgie, Steve rarely does an talks so its a bit of a coup for us, shame that I am in Spain that week :sad2:

Hello Mark. I've heard the name Stephen Harper mentioned once or twice is he the guy who wrote a book with the same title as that of the talk or similar? Is it a 'domesday' style book of Broadland Pike?

Cheers Mark..

I'll have a look on Amazon and the like as I've had them recommended to me by one or two people now. A lot of work must go into producing books of that nature, especially somewhere like the Broads where there always seems to be a certain shroud of mystery. The whole Broadland historical side of things is of great interest to me, it's a shame I won't be able to make it down to the talk.

Sounds great though.

The first book, Broadland Pike, sold out very quickly and now commands a fee of around £125 if you are lucky, the second book, The Pike of Broadland, is £30 + £5 P&P from Steve Harper at this email address

Both are excellent books.

I hope this helps.
