Hi Martin sorry for delay.Nothing wrong with the Dartford waters in fact they were on the "must fish list" in my day.Just got the impression from g4fne that they werent what he was looking for!

Not having transport is a big problem isnt it? Great shame as in the area there is some great carp fishing. But all isnt lost mate just concentrate on being able to fish the waters you can get acsess easily too and getting the best from them. When its time to move on then you will find a way and all that youve learned will help you on the new waters.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

How about Sandwich and District or Heronview (the lake in Minster)? or the syndicate who run the lake next to MKF's Stour lake?

Hi Neil.

Checked out Heronsview ... bit of hole in ground for my liking, Heard good things on the syndicate behind Stour lake but very little info about it seems & aparantly difficult to get on waiting list. Dont know anything about Sandwich ... what waters have they got mate ??

Hi Paul

Have to admit Heronsview IS a hole, I'll find out about the one next to stour for you,( think it's called Ifield) I do some voluntary work in the Scope charity shop and one of the drivers fishes there, Sandwich have the Reed Pond, which is on the Ramsgate to Sandwich Road, right next to the river underneath the flyover and another out near the Roman castle (forget the name!) and Brian Bayliss's old lake at St. Nicholas, Sandwich bait and Tackle have now got Prem's old shop at Cottington and the owner is the secretary for Sandwich, give him a call and I'm sure he'll fill you in on the club, loads fewer members than CDAA, I've had a look at the waters and fished the St. Nick lake when Brian had it, there are some lumps in there, but it is another hole, but much bigger and more mature than Heronsview, but having fewer members will be more to your liking...

Not good.

Better or best. :D :D

If you stick around the forum, you may get a chance to fish it one weekend next year. The owner is a long time member who opens the main lake to Anglers' Net members for a big fish-in each Spring. Limited numbers but preference given to those who've never fished it before.

I traveled quite a distance (from the Eastern US) to get there several years ago and it was well worth the trip.
