Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

I think (and hope) today's young generation will look back on most of their fishing with fond memories... although I am not into match angling or "bagging up" on as many fish as possible in overstocked puddles, this is often the way it is now...each to their own

I think perhaps every generation regards it's own younger years as "halcyon days"

As long as we are enjoying angling...any age, any type, then that's "as good as it gets" !!!!!!

Much of the poaching I did as a young country lad, would be frowned upon by purists..but they were some of my fondest fishing memories!!!!!! However, I have to add, in haste, that we poached "for the pot" !!!

I do hope though, that some of the new memories being formed will include "blank" days, but seeing the kingfisher or grebes or just lying back and watching a few whipsy clouds scudding across the blue skies in the summer....Whoops I've started waxing lyrical...I had better take me pills and lie down in a darkened room and wait for matron!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ho !!!!!!!
