Within a week he, the minister makes a point in meeting the nffo. Best possible deal for the uk fishing industry was mentioned. Just wondering how easy he is going to be to influence. First of all he concedes lack of experiance. So the nffo fires at him the importance of devolution issues that they have on their adjenda, along with the nffo's job is to make sure it's items of importance are set in stone.

Don't the anglers reps and the majority of the uk fishing fleet want to join the que. Before the new minister is duped into something the rest don't agree with.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

and i'm wondering how long he will remain in his job as the scottish delegation are trying to get him replaced with thier own.

Don't say much for the english delegation then, can't see it working though as the scottish adjenda is for devolution in any event. Amazingly they all have thier own selfish ideas of how it should be run and by who, apart from the majority of the uk fleet who don't appear to have any person or organisation reping them in any event.

Then we have this nutter who within his last paragrath is calling for the culling of the seals who are gobbling up the stocks, that is the only interpretation i can glean out of his comments.

Hi Barry,

Maybe the fact you assume he is a "nutter" for daring to talk about the very unPC of subject of seals, actually says everything that needs to be said about why there is a drive to yet more devolution of power?

He wants to Kill the seals ? John Whitton will be pleased.

Personally I wouldnt expect anything better from this one than the last 2. They are all cast from the same mould. Politiceans dont have a clue about fish, the fishing industry, local cultures, or anything at all.

Seals?

If you don't know the difference between a Grey and a Common seal then your post is no more than pointing AN readers to the "facts" as told by wonderful journalists who actually know bugger all.

If you do in fact know the difference, and im sure you do, why post that link? Who is supposed to benefit from that kind of slight of hand?

RSA?

Some of us were aware of the difference, just being polite at the time and not bothering to point it out. :)

IMHE some politicians have a very good understanding about fish, the fishing industry, local culture and common humanity, and it has nothing to do with party lines. At least we can vote them in or out depending on our viewpoint.

Who is John Whitton btw?
