Fantastic pics ayjay...its amazing how many old buildings there are out there and this one is in true condition.....doesnt look like its been touched up for years....and shows a little work needs doing but think it would ruin the place if it was not done to match.....like a new roof would look a bit odd!!

and that shed thingy on dungeness......not sure that should be still standing after these winds but it surprises me how things hold till the last to fall down!!

Great pics from both of you and thanks for sharing with us!!

Just received the following from Simon by email:

Bit of an odd one. I came across a thread: http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/Abandoned-Run-t81582.html

Just to give Ollie Jay and some others a bit of information on the Manor Road Garage

I lived in East Preston from 1969 to 1991. Manor Road Garage was in fact still pumping fuel from those tanks in the late seventies. I remember my Dad getting his petrol from there. The building has always fascinated me but I believe it's held intestate currently.

The old boy that owned it was an avid car collector, especially yanks, so whenever my Dad stopped there I'd be out like a shot and poking round the sizeable warehouse at the back - rammed full of Chevy's, Pontiacs, Plymouths, Cadillacs et al. I wouldn't be surprised if they're still there.

Also, parked down the side was an old steam traction engine. I know that's still there as I drove past just the other day.

I've fantasised about being able to buy and do up the place. If anyone else has a similar idea and knows any more I'd love to hear.
