Nash Venom's

I am about to buy the new Nash Venoms and was wondering what people thought of them!

 

I have had my eye on the since they came out last year and have been fixed on them since!

 

I was hoping to find out some info about them, see what other they are like to use. Its a shame that you cant have a test run on fishing gear (do a days fishing then decied), but then again people would take advanteg of this and never buy fishing gear just borrow it!

 

Any ways i would be really greatfull to hear your views!!

I buy very little these days just on what it looks like.Maybe Im lucky but over the years Ive accumulated a load of gear! All of what I use does the job (if it didnt I would simply not use it) Because of that the only time I really renew/upgrade something is if Ive actually used a piece of kit and been impressed by it.Great of course if you have a mate who has the particular item for you to try I hear you say! But my point is that I just dont feel the need to routinely get new stuff just because Ive seen it/read about it.

 

All well and good but obviously the problem is when you are buying something that you dont all ready have! In that situation I tend to do as much research as possible.Asking on sites like this is a bit of a funny one.I say that as unless people tell you what they are comparing their prefered item of tackle to its hard to judge the value of their opinion.I tend to try and see what other people are using (sucsessfully) in the same situation as I want the new gear for.I then ask around on sites like this to see not so much how good people think an item is but more importantly if they have had any problems with it.

 

Try before you buy would be great! especially for really specialist gear but the only time you normally see this is with long range beach/tournement rods and high end fly rods.

 

But it could also be argued that to an extent most rods of a similar price range will be much the same quality these days.No one manufacturer really does anything that much different to another (and believe you me many dont do anything different other than giving the blank a different name and cosmetics!) So as long as you get the basics right ie the right tool for the job you wont go far wrong!

I've hardly done any carp fishing over the past year, so can't really say too much about mine, but initial impressions were certainly okay.
