A bit of a petty question really but , does anyone know of a setting on the phone that will disable the phone answering an incoming call once the phone has been slid open?

 

It's bit of a bugger when reaching for the phone when it's ringing , pulling it out of the pocket and the thing catching on an edge of clothing and opening up the phone and answering the call before you've had a look on the display to see who it is.

The phone itself does have a caller recognition facility which does speak the name to you but , this service only works on preset numbers with name allocation , so a 'new number' to the phone , ie 0123 456789 will not speak the number to you.

 

As i say , a bit of a petty question but, (to me) it would be extremely handy if anyone out there had any ideas...

I've got a slide to open Nokia phone as well and yes you can do it pretty easily.

 

I think you need to go into the settings option and go through the phone settings. I'm pretty sure it's in the same place as changing ring-tones, alarm tones etc. If I recall there's a setting that says 'call answer on opening slide' or something like that - it's set as yes by default but you just select 'no'.
