The collection is going well, thanks to some sound advice from other AN Members.

 

I've joined or subscribed to Coin Collectors forums, where it's amazing to see some familiar names.

 

My main aim now is to collect Pennies from the past, not the decimal new pennies.

 

So if you've got some of the large old type of Pennies, give me a PM, and maybe we can come to some arrangements.

Hi John i gave up collecting coins and bank notes a couple of years ago, Heres a little tip for you if your collecting the old pennys and half penny look on the back of them and look to see if the tide is low or high its the low tides you need to be looking for, and dont quote me and also the 1967 penny as they were never made for the uk but a few slipped out and are very rare. next tip download proof copies of notes the we get now and look for mistakes you`ll be supprised how many go throu your wallet that are worth upto 5 times there face value. any questions just ask,Tony
