korum chair

I've fancied getting one of those Korum chairs for some time now but I want to know if they have sorted out the problems with the feeder arm extension which apparently was prone to collapsing when rod was placed on it even the bipod type was not much better; KB do use this attachment and if so have you had any problems?

Tony

I can vouch for that, if you're going to use anything other than a light float rod on the feeder arm forget it.

Likewise the bipod is neither use nor ornament on anything other than a perfectly flat bank.

i was tempted to pick up the korum accy deluxe chair but after sitting on some in gerrys of wimbledon i decided i wanted something lighter and importantly cheaper. now i have my Specialist x-lite which is comfy and light and nearly half the price.

Sorry about the delay in coming back. I don't use the feeder arm. When I got the chair, I checked it out and decided it wasn't for me. Bought a pod instead!

I am also a fat bar steward and I find the chair takes my weight with no problem at all, even with the long legs. I modified the legs, taking the mud feet of the old legs and buying 1" square tubing and put the old chairs plastic caps and mud feet back on the legs! I now have a chair that a fat old man can sit, and stand up easily, in comfort!

I use the umbrella attachment, an "up and under" set for my pole, bait waiter and a couple of other attachments on a regular basis. fabulous piece of kit - heavy - but I have a trolley (motorised) to get me to my peg!
