HELP (swivels)

OI OI,

This may sound a daft question to some of you, Can someone exsplain swivels & numbers is it the higher the number the bigger the swivel or highest number smaller the swivel, My son says i need size 2 but i think a size 8 can someone advise me as i want to order on line thank's in advance.

:D Normally the higher the number, the stronger/bigger the swivel but not always. Some firms now give a breaking strain as swivels have got smaller and stronger. :D

OI OI,

Ahhh thank's norm b i saw some which had 60lb breaking strain size 8 so them should be O.K. then.

Swivel size is as stated the lower the number the larger the swivel not always the stronger taking quality and manufacturer into account.

The size 8 swivel is generally use in carp rigs etc as in fits most in-line weights for semi-fixed, i always use Korda, for float and Leger work in lakes and Rivers i use size 16 and sometimes 20. :thumbs:

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.
