Maybe you could buy a roll of masking tape (£1) and a 'pole' and reel and you'd have a whole outfit for 3 quid!

The four little compartmented boxes were ok for the money, maybe you should change your sig mate! :D

Why do we keep saying '£1' ? It's the One Pound Section!

Some some items of tackle in Asda tonight, in the 'Everything for a £1' section.

Night lights were £1 (obviously) for a pack of 6.

For night lights, try here - £7 for a box of 50. :)

No. No tackle in my local Asda either.

They do have 10% off all of their cameras though, including the waterproof and shockproof Olympus jobbie bringing the price down to about £130. I'm seriously considering one as a new fishing camera but will need to get my skates on because the offer ends on Sunday.

Seriously, though, it'd be great if Asda/Wallmart started selling kit in the UK.

They're one of the cheapest tackle outlets in the US and if they start selling decent tackle at pocketmoney prices in the UK, it'll tempt a lot of parents into buying it as Christmas presents and we could see a much needed injection of young anglers comming into the sport.

Thought about that one myself, don't understand what the buyers are thinking of that work for such stores as Lidl Asda and

Argos, the latter to a lesser extent, but overall the quality of the tackle is very poor and at times illegal. buying a totally useless rod and reel set in a blister pack c/w all the bits and bobs junior will need is not the want to start kids off. The quality is awful and does our sport a disservice we are dealing with live creatures and the thought of a metal disgorger being used by a youngster with no skills is a worry.

This country is the dumping ground for all the cheap tat that the rest of the world does not want, I have seen this rubbish and it is not fit for pupose, but as long as we buy it it will keep coming. what we need to do as anglers is 'educate' these companies into buying tackle that is fit for purpose.
