This popular show with a new series starting tonight seems a bit marmite within the angling community, I love the show, two blokes with various ailments taking the p out of each other, beautiful surroundings and a bit of fishing thrown in too.

I've not actually watched it, but a non-fishing mate loves it - to the point where he's asked to go out fishing.

To me that illustrates exactly what fishing is all about and why the show is such a success. It’s not just about catching fish, infact far from it, to be in nice surroundings enjoying the nature around you and if with a mate having a good old natter putting the world to rights.
