Welcome to the forum, that’s like asking “what’s the best car to buy!” Depends what species you are chasing and where you are doing it, there’s a vast range of tackle, generally speaking boat equipment is not a lot of good for fishing from shore.

As so much depends on things like “What types of fish you will expect to be catching; and what sizes of fish you are likely to be catching?” Etc. etc.  You would be far better off asking about what fishing tackle to equip yourself with and which methods will be the best to use, and what baits or lures are recommended; at your local tackle-shops, or talking to other anglers in your area were you are likely to be fishing.

The info you would then gain would be far more reliable and a lot better than trying to get info from others who may not even live in the same country as you.

You might also try doing a search on the internet using something like “fishing in and around Hexham USA”  as your search string.

NB: I didn’t even know there was a town in the USA called Hexham
