I'm smitten, she is not a rottie with lipstick,, it's a shame she's married.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
Vaut mieux ne rien dire et passer pour un con que de parler et prouver que t'en est un!

Blimey, it's a good job she is a sceptic - I could quite happily believe her if she tried to convince me the Tooth Fairy was real! :D

I'd go along for the ride. You can't prove the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist! ;)

So what's a sceptic here? Someone sceptical about all things supernatural and extra-terrestial?

My brother used to get a journal called the Sceptical Enquirer - looked at claimed miracles, ufo's etc in a sceptical enquiring way, but with some openness as well. As a christian believer he found it a good discipline to see the kind of explanations which there were around. As a scientist he certainly felt it wrong to label things as miracles too easily. I've no idea if that journal is still around.

I used to think that cannabis psychosis was purely an invention, but her has website changed my mind.

English as tuppence, changing yet changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss Havishambling, opsimath and eremite, feudal, still reactionary, Rawlinson End.

That magazine sure is still around Skeptical Enquirer. They also have a podcast Point of Inquiry

I am sceptical of anything that has no evidence to back it up. I'll believe in miracles if I see evidence of something truly miraculous, like a double amputee sprouting new legs.
