reel problem..

i got a shimano nexave 3000 reel,used it about 3 times but now the bail arm wont click back after the cast,could i be able to repair it myself or does it need to go in to a tackle shop...any ideas? :)

I have two ( Nexave 3000R ), used them for two years with no problems.

Sounds like the bail arm spring have given out. If you are handy with a screwdriver why not open up and check the assembly, under a flat panel. The panel is held on by a cross head screw and is located just below the line roller assembly.

If your not keen, then recomend you take it to a dealer.

right here goes just took off the flat panelside and below the bail arm ,the one spring is in a white plastic thingy, by the bail arm, the other is more like a wire coil (1551 leaver spring,on box)but it seems theres somethig missing that attatches athe spring to the bail arm...

sent them the e-mail..they got the part and want £4.50 for it.

looks like i got to put my hand in my pocket again.
