I've been using an original Greys Apollo for a couple of years - great rod.

A rod builder I know tells me the new blanks are manufactured and built/finished in China and are probably best avoided in favour of the usual suspects such as Conoflex and Century.

i got the new Nitro a couple of weeks ago and think its great. bought a shadow last year and that's also a good rod but not as stiff. zzipplex's now gathering dust.
