I want to get some more doggies, looks like I know where I will be going when I get some time :D

I wonder if they would survive if I brought some over to the east cost and released them, do you think anyone would mind :D

Hello John1961,

The Girvan coastline is limited, with the south area of the town better than the north.

The rocks around Roodlands Point can produce a mixed bag of fish including Wrasse, Codling, Pollack, Dogs, and the occassional flattie.

It can be a bit snaggy in places.

Further South towards lendalfoot, the rocks are good for pollack to float or spinning tactics over the kelp.

Past Ballantrae; if you walk south along the rocks these can produce a better quality of fish, with better pollack, and a few conger along with the usual suspects dogs codling and a few wrasse.

Im sure Eric Maclean in the Sports Shop will update you on how the Loch is fishing, they have a few club matches there during the weeks.

I fish with the Peever Sea Anglers (now based The Star Hotel in Twynholm near Kirkcudbright), give me a p.m. if you need to know more.

Barry
