Subj: Petition against Winter Bass Trawling on spawning areas

Date: 3/16/03 7:04:02 pm GMT Standard Time

From: stephbeaucher@noos.fr

Dear all,

For those among you ho do not know us, Collectif Bar Européen (CBE) is the French "yonger brother" (2 year old) of BASS.

In december, we have launched a pétition against winter trawling on spawning areas.

More than 3 000 people have signed it up to now.

So we have had the idea of launching the petition on a more European scale.

Please forward the message to your contacts to help us to constitute a full and heavy dossier for our action towards politicians in september 2003.

A PDF file of the petition in english can be downloaded at :

Thanking you in advance.

Hello Leon.

I`ve printed out several copies of the petition and asked several fish departments of national supermarket chains to be allowed to have them placed in a prominent position. Guess what? They`ve all refused!! I must point out however, that the manager of my local TESCO supermarket suggested I put it on the community notice board. He stated, that anything placed there would be read by a few people, once one signature appeared, more folk tended to read it??

Now there`s something I`d never thought about.

Go on lads! Try it for yourself.

Paul.

We don`t use J`s anymore!!
