Histon vs Leeds

Is that Histon as in just north of Cambridge? Not only are they one up, but they've just nobbled a Leeds player. Come you on , lads!

Well done Histon, bit of a farce at times though. How can you play "the beautiful game" on a pitch like a swamp?

 

Almost comical at times as the ball stopped dead in the mud/water

Both teams played on the same pitch, for me best team won, " OH YES "

Nice village green, pond and olde worlde village pump! Chivers Jams [if they still exist?] are made in Histon and the new guided bus route passes right passed the ground.

 

Believe it or not, it seems Histon are the premier team in the Cambridge area!!

 

Cambridge United have the best facilities but seem to lack a winning team and Cambridge City are much the same.

 

I would add that I have very little interest in football unless it's a kids game as they seem to play for the sheer enjoyment.

 

Regards the pitch, it isn't the best, but it hasn't stopped raining here [near Histon] for almost 36 hours.
