Help needed - surplus rods/blanks

Went to post them off to those that wanted them today and they're too big for parcel post!!! (max length 1.5m)

Parcelforce is a write off - any ideas?

I used to have this problem too but discovered that other Post Office branches would accept items longer than 1.5m, although they're not obliged to. I was told it was to do with the size of the vans to some of the smaller branches.

 

If it's still a problem try Initial City Link at www.city-link.co.uk I've tried many carriers over the years and this firm has proved to be the most reliable. They have no problem with long parcels such as 13ft 2 piece rods.

1.5m???? I thought it was 1.8M? I am always taking stuff down and telling Liz it's only a couple of feet long and she really should have a word with Alan! He's obviously filling her full of false hope!!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))
