Yak - "anybody tied saltwater flies with a popper head before" at the mo it is at the top of the page. Have you tried poppers on fly gear yet matey?

Snatcher I've tried a bought popper on my fly gear, got it from Sportfish, it is quite difficult to cast with my 8 weight but with a bit more practice it will hopefully get easier.

Hi Snatch,

 

Same as Starvin , I have shop bought Poppers for the fly rod.

Havnt tried them yet to be honest, hopefully this season.

I have little experience of fly from the Yak , but as I understand it, the heavier, larger flys, are difficult to turn, so god knows what a Popper will be like

Will give it a go though.

Looks like a very good patern for you.

Reckon the painting bit could prove to be a lot of fun, different colours, and shades etc.

Maybe a couple iof those big eyes??
