Anybody out there tried (or has got) a Century Carbon Metal ?

I would appreciate some feedback from "hands on" fishermen, as I am considering buying one.

Cheers ... :D

Bang up to date mate ... Century started producing them last year, and it has had some very good reviews in the sea-angling press.

I have handled one at my local tackle shop and I must say that I'm impressed. I have not, of course, had a chance to cast with one.

I just wondered if any of the lads out there owned one, and could give me some feedback before I part with £195 !!!!

the carbon metal is a very good fishing rod ,clean ground and light ruff,no good for very dirty ground cast 6ozs,and three baits no problem.and value for money at that price.cheers john.

Just been chewing that fat with a rod builder. He used to work for one of the well known balnk manufacturers and now makes high class custom rods. Started talking about shore rods and he mentioned (without prompting) that the Century CM, in his opinion, is not a very good rod, compared to what else is on offer. His view is that the kompressor is still the rod to buy!
