Round centrepin reel case

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

"Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work."

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

Thank's for your help Gents, I think I like the look of the Youngs one (with the writing on it) best, probably because it looks a bit fancier. Really I was looking for the round zip up type but I suppose the neoprean ones are better (nothing to scratch the reel).

The small Drennan Specialist reel case is round, and zippered, and takes my AN C/P reel a treat!

Hi Chavender, thank's for going to so much trouble. I've been thinking about making my own CP case out of some kind of plastic box similar to a maggot box or tupperware. They sell them in Asda, Tesco and poundland and some are virtually round. I was thinking of glueing some nice soft foam to the lid and lining the box in the same foam so the reel is nice and snugg and held firm enough so as not to move about when being transported. The good thing about a plastic box is it's waterproof and very good protection if dropped, banged or crushed in your rucksack/holdall. What do you think about that plan Chavender ?

not bad ,if you get some florists foam (the crushable stuff),you could just push the reel into it to make a perfect fit ,just cover it in woodglue first & leave to dry ,then paint it green (or fake velvet spray paint if you can find it )

try a cd case a soft fabric one or a portable cd/dvd bag like this one ,ideal if you have a reel with a spare spool ,they usually come with carry strap ,just remove the cd sleeves to create a space for the spare spool or whatever .

or make a cloth bag out of a old pair of warnout jeans/cords trouser legs ! [or old tweed jacket ] (wouldn't be the first time ,i'd done similar) or ask at your local bank for a cloth cash bag ! then just cut it down & turn over the frayed/cut end to form a hem .Feed in a old bootlace as a draw string & the jobs a good-un

,owt too beat the credit crunch :rolleyes:B)

if you want to be enviomently resposable and aid those who make the bags get a fair price for a fair days work ,then look no further than your local co-op superstore ,they're selling a centrepin cloth bag (ok .its a fair trade shopping cloth bag/Bag for a better life) with free carry all / bait bag and only 99p

bagforlife.jpg

the carry all / bait bag comes folded up inside the centrepin bag which takes centrepins from 3½" to 4½" x 1"

so you get two usefull bags for 99p and be a hero saving the world .
