CEFAS Questionnaire

Are you implying that the data that Cefas collect on behalf of Nasty Nature, won't be used for the study they are doing on behalf of Defra?

And could you tell us which quesionnaire it was that you assisted in creating, to make it comprehensive and easy to complete? Was it the one Cefas are using to gather data for Nasty Nature, or the one they will use to gather data for Defra?

Like Elton, I also believe that MCZ's will result in retsrictions on sea anglers. It would be foolish to believe they won't, which makes me wonder how the Angling Trust can possibly claim to protect angling in all it's forms and support MCZ's, at the same time.

Yet again, no answer.

Quick to post nonsense, reluctant to answer questions. Some things never change.

The RSA stance taken has always been:

- Stakeholders must be fully involved throughout the entire process

- An MCZ must have clear objectives (the point has been made that MCZs are nature conservation tools, not necessarily fishery management tools)

- Only activites which significantly impinge on the attainment of those objectives should be restricted, and only minimum necessary restrictions should be applied

- As well as scientific 'need', socio-economic factors need to be given due weight.

All of those conditions have been accepted.

But not everyone is happy with that!

LOL She's upset that "ministers will be allowed to bear economic considerations in mind for the sea zones". I'm sure Baroness Young has a deep understanding of how the majority of the 60 million citizens of the UK get by on a day-to-day basis.
