Don't mean to worry you lot - but the tides next weekend are the BIGGEST FOR 200 YEARS.

If anyone knows Treaddur Bay - they reckon you will be able to walk out to Black Rock without getting your feet wet!

When you come to land at low water - it is going to be a long pull up the river!

BUT, on the positive side, at high water it should be worth exploring a few laces with a plug or a fly....if you get my meaning (I was going to say drift but thought it inappropriate).

Sorry I can't come, I am on the River Wyre covering the SEAQUEST kayak race/orienteering in aid of Leukemia Research (starts from Marine Hall on Blackpool seafront - or Fleetwood seafront, I haven't looked yet!

There will be a huge tidal movement which hopefully will make the tope bite by the dozen. The actual tide flow on our mark shouldn't be that much stronger than usual springs - it will simply last a bit longer before it eases off.

Good Luck chaps and lets hear all about it. Fingers crossed the sun shines on us all - not like this weekend.

Not far from Tywyn, near newquay there is a beach called Cai Bach.

We have caught double figure Bull Huss from the beach so would be a good spot for kayaking if weather not too good.

lots of dab and dogfish in that area too

just a thought
