I have the Xtools filleting knife and pliers. I can quite honestly say they are the biggest load of **** I have ever had the misfortune to purchase!!

Filleting knife is rusty, eventhough I wash after each use!

Any one chanced the use of a drogue I have a Ron Thompson Drogue for my lake fishing boat

 

 

Stops it to a dead slow drift. Have a feeling the currents may affect this idea.

 

This is the drogue...

Hi,

 

I've made myself a drogue. It works brilliantly when there is a stiff breeze. As you say it can virtually stop you in the water as well as holding you head to wind.

 

That said I don't use it that often when lure fishing close in, only when on a long drif in open water.

Not a glamorous gadget but..........

 

.................after trying various plastic storage containers for my gear I picked up a Mountain Equipment Kit Bag (100 litres) from Cotswold Outdoors yesterday (on offer at the moment from £80 to £45).

 

A weatherproof bag, it has a large internal pocket for wet clothing and the 100litre capacity means I can fit my bait tank or crate in there along with clothing, RAM mounts etc.

 

I would like to see Richi get ALL his gear in there!! SDD~~~~
