  18. I used to fish the river brue (West hay, Somerset) about 5 years ago and i was just woundering if anyone on here fishies that area and is it still good for the BIG pike and the nce chub?
  19. I have always used the normal fishing line but 2 good mate of mine have now starded using braid and i was just wanting to know if there is any advantage of it and what your views are and if you use it thank you
  20. live baiting: catch a roach - attatch to pike rig - pike may eat - roach dead! roach in river - pike eats - roach dead! go to a shop and buy dead bait roach which was bred to be killed or was caught and then killed and bagged up to be use again in the river, but just dead so out of all the above examples the bait will get eaten and/or die so i dont see the problem with live baiting as all living things will die, but just some quicker then others!
  21. I was just wanting to know if any one has fished the chedder res at this time of year for pike, if so or if not what would you guys do on this type of water, out of dead bait or lure fishing and any rig ideas would be great? cheers

  24. i have 2 hardy fly rods and reels and a few other bits and the stuff is brill, nice and light but still very strong and it must be good stuff as the first ime i used it all i caught 3 doulbe fig salmon on the river tay in scotland (that good for me lol)!
