  11. Rodger, never drain the Hemp.Just freeze it in all that water. If you drain it,you will be taking away from it's pulling power. If and when you do freeze it,do it in small batches. When you come to defrost it, it will defrost far quicker, rather than if you had froze it in a big block.
  12. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, definately not, well not for Pike anyway.Give me a fresh smelt any-day.

  14. Weetabix ( crumbled up) is excellent for keeping them maggies sweat free and dry."Milk and sugar optional" Also custard powder is a good short term option,it adds a touch of flavour as well...

  18. Hi Elton, I also used it last Spring/Summer for Tench.I primarily used it on the hair with 2 grains of the real stuff to critically balance the hook/bait ,or 2 grains of the artificial corn if the small stuff was pecking at the bait, which popped it up clear off the bottom...Works a treat. go give it a bash....Des
  19. Hi Richard, seeing as no-one else has replied I'll give you two options apart from the Chub one.Firstly is the Fox Recliner, nice chair, comfy and you can sleep on it if you want,it really is that good. The downside is that it is heavy,so any long walks is out, unless your built like Geoff Capes and it's a bit expensive.Secondly, the JRC Cocoon. My mate has one and it's also very comfy, must be,he sleeps all the time when were out fishing. The big plus point on this chair is that it's light,is stable and has built in mud feet.If I didn't have the Fox one It would be the JRC one for me..Tight ones..Des
  20. Hi Julian, cheers for the helpfull reply.Fired off an e-mail to Darren....Des

  24. ALLAN, I would definately recommend "the Tinny".Fiberglass is a pain in the b*cks*de,chips scratches, fish oils stainging the inside and not being able to wash off(what a smell!!!!!).I've been sanding, painting, putting a new seat in,and thats only the inside, for the last week and seem to be getting nowhere.I have heard good reports about the aliminium boats like the Seanymph. There is a supplier in the Dublin area if I remember correctly.Although I don't know about maintainance with them.Heard somewhere, they do require a lick of paint very other 5 years or so.Aparrently the aliminium does get attacked by some sort of corrosiony type thingy although not up to steam on them.As for fishfinders/depthfinders, can reccomend Garmin, got mine for £120.although a basic model they're fantastic things.See you Friday if were not flooded out by then...Des
