  3. Ok well how about clip on back leads from the rod tip, ive looked into these
  4. Last night i fished a hard lake for tench/carp and i had seen vast numbers of carp moving in and out of a broken down tree on the far bank and so i put my rod there. The bailiff came round and talked to us about how vital it is on that lake to pin down your line and this was true as I had two liners on my rod by the tree which was followed by crashing on the water. The bailiff suggested it was the fish spooking off as the fish in the lake are very finicky. Anyway to the point, i was considering leadcore to pin down enough of my line up to my rig, as i'm not keen on flying backleads. What sizes can you get them in, how do you use them e.t.c? Thanks
  5. what are you on about i never have time to do anything else then catch fish? i Joke Erm when carp fishing i usually throw boilies at ducks which all wrestle over them or talk to other anglers

  10. just a quick one a bit off topic but may aswell, One of my lakes that i am able to fish is a very weedy one and carp run to 40lb and are very finicky and i was considering finding a clear spot and baiting it up with a couple of handfuls of Mainline Cell freeze range boilies (taking handfuls out of the freezer each time i go) for about a week but what do you think? Is Tiger nuts a better option or a good spod mix?

  12. Hi, My budget has gone down since i bought my lovely windcasts so i am wondering if anyone can suggest some fairly cheap but good quality spod and marker setups. I have looked at the shimano aerlex's but at 70 quid each it's still not ideal to admit it. Thanks

  15. i probably wont be of much help but i will say that at my local lake i fished a whip, by a bush in 9ft of water 1ft under the surface and was catching some really nice rudd on single white maggot with a couple of kernels of corn and a hanful of maggots being chucked in every 3-5 mins, worked well! Just wanted to share this, hope it helps.

  18. I've never used these shockleaders, but are they thick in diameter, because surely that wouldn't be good for the rig presentation?
