  4. quote: Personally I'd launch it in the middle of a river I wouldn't have thought that pleading ignorance would work, they will probably say that you should have made the effort to find out. Wouldnt want a nice chap like you being slapped with a fine on your first trip out.
  5. Keep my boat on the broads, it costs me £44 for the year on a 11 foot dinghy with an electric outboard.
  6. Definately go for a tripod, far more stable.
  7. Hardly anyone at beccles cut on wednesday. I was out from 6 till 6 and only saw about seven people fishing, which was good. That does include three blokes packed into a small dinghy. The last i know was the common is day ticket, available at the caravan site, And your right, the further you walk the better it gets.
  8. Did you go to the river centre peter? I hear there are some new owners.
  9. 6 o clock start for me, out on the boat Can't wait, the last three months seem to have been the longest in history
  10. No pike at all elton If you do go to beccles on the 16th keep an eye out for a basstender with two dodgy looking blokes in it. Check your PM elton.
  11. quote: Which is also the second reason why I have my alarms and reciever turned right down and I blank alot. My thoughts exactly. Except i do actually blank alot

  14. Is it possible to get a decent still picture from a digital camcorder? The reason i ask is that im fed up with timers and air realeses and while thinking of a soultion today i came up with the idea of a digital camcorder that i could set-up on a tripod pointing at the unhooking mat. Then when i catch a my 20lber i could turn the camera on, hold the fish in the usual manner for 5 seconds, whilst keeping still, then put the fish back, stop the camera and when i get home run off acouple of stills. Can anyone confirm that this would work because they aern't cheap you know Thanx Lee
  15. The waveney, from beccles to geldeston. quote: Lucky people who have that sort of river right on their doorsteps I would say we are pretty lucky too peter i know a few people who would love the broads on their doorstep.
  16. Peter, i was thinking of Brundall, the one down the road from MacDonalds in Wroxham, Potter heigham and aparently there is one in norwich called Bits and Bobs down StBenedicts.

  20. I know i ask a lot of questions but i really appreciate your feedback. So anyway here is another Does anyone know were i can get stuff like this in the UK? I got these pics from a US web site after a lot of searching but couldn't for the life of me find anything remotely like them in the UK. It's only 15 days till the season starts and i would like the boat kitted out ready for then. Yours grovilingly( ) Lee [ 01. June 2004, 10:18 PM: Message edited by: Lee-sox ]
  21. cheers guys, you have given me plenty to think about. I will let you know what i get.
  22. Peter, brilliant idea. I usually end up closing one eye when using bins anyway. Cheers for the links ajp, excelent selection, a bit pricey but very good, can't justify spending loads of money then as peter says dropping them over the edge of the boat. Nice toys newt but they wouldnt get the usage.
  23. Can anyone recomend a decent set of bins for general fish spotting and wildlife watching. The smaller the better. Cheers
  24. I honestly thought that you knew i had changed my name  I do hope i havent caused confusion but im sure i posted the name change. And the avatar is the same. As for the boat down langley dike, i enquired about it but it never came about, i think im still on the list. Its still at Beccles Again sorry for the confusion, i did think that some of our conversations were a little deja-vu-ish ( if thats a word ). I changed it partly due to my almighty stupidity in posting about a certain person that we wont go into. And Lee-sox is a pretty apt name for my chosen quarry. sorry [ 28.
