  1. Hi Another thumbs up for the TFG Classic, its very well made and miles better than any of the Dragon Carp offerings. Paul
  2. How on earth do you not notice these otters chomping on 22000 fish, how many otters where there. Something is not quite right with the reporting of this story. Still hope he wins though perhaps they will think twice before they introduce any more if these feral cats of the water world. Paul
  3. Hi My first bite alarm was just the flip top of a Fairy Liquid bottle clipped on the line between the first two rings, does that count. Paul
  4. Its all that ground bait the holiday Anglers are dumping in the lake, all it does is decay and rot, which badly affects the natural biological filtration.
  5. Hi Not used them myself but they will probably be not that bad, don't expect £100 performance and you won't be disappointed and if you are you have only lost £14.99 and will probably get that back on eBay and possibly a bit more I have three rods that cost over £100 each and just bought two rods from dragoncarp (A Heavy Feeder and a Heavy Pellet Waggler) that cost only £10 each. The feeder rod is a dream to use and the Float Rod is a tough forward heavy but still quite usable. So Don’t buy it if you are expecting £100 performance and do buy it if you are not easily dissatisfied. Paul
  6. What I buy depends on how much I have in my pocket when I enter a tackle shop, vary rarely do I leave the shop with much less and most of what I buy is probably not needed if I am totally Honest. Like the time I left the shop with a Youngs Purist II Centre Pin Reel for long trotting when at the time I had never fished on a river. I did use it for roach bashing in a lake just to justify buying it. Paul
  7. My worst experience as an angler was many years ago when I was a kid (about 14) IIRC , on the first day of the new season. Our local lake used to let anglers on the the lake the day before the first day of the new season so they could hold their swim for the 6am start on the first day of the new season. It was about 1 am and I was asleep in my sleeping bag on a camp bed, and a group of numpties thought it would be a good idea to up end my bed and tip me fully encased in my sleeping bag into the lake. Not a happy experience and to this day I have never been night fishing again. and that was nearly 40 years ago. Paul
