  1. I think the best way to send a message to the anti,s is by self regulation, its a sad day when angling is just about commercial interests, that spark, that made us love angling is being eroded by the greed of a few,In MAY the barbel become easy to see, gathered in a few inches of water for the spawning, they are also at their biggest size which would make them targets, I dread to think what would happen with people casting at these large fish when they are vunerable, also as people we should show respect to all of nature and give it a break
  2. Firstly pick a stretch that has good barbel form, and then fish VERY accurately , maybe clip up to your spool to ensure your feeding always lands on the right line, if you keep this up in a variaty of swims on each of your visits you should have success, but the key on any large river is fish accurate
  3. Hi Brian there is a fantastic aquarium called Aquarium du touraine near amboise on the banks of the loire, it has a fantastic display of freshwater fish including loire barbel. It also shows you their distibution throughout the loire valley. This might point you in the right direction.
  4. Foxes are without doubt murderers and most of them bank robbers and shoplifters, I know one down my street never done a days work in its life always got money for fags though. I think we should get on our horses and chase them back down the tunnel, its the only sane way to control them. yours ian keith arfur smith.
  5. I have just watched a bit on tele,Ian duncan Smith whos he, vinny jones a well known compassionate soul ask gazza. I take it back, I dont think a fox has much to worry about, maybe we should hack one of its legs off to give the palmer thompsons a better chance of catching it.
  6. Liam you dont need interlect to know it is not nice to be ripped up by dogs. I think the country people have real and just issues with this govenment, trouble is their cause has been highjacked into a pro hunting lobby thats my uneducated view.
  7. I am speaking as a representative of the U.K fox population, who were delighted with todays march as it gave them a day off, from being ripped to shreds in the name of sport, you moan about a right to choose and you choose to do this, I think you have lost that right.
  8. Signal crayfish mainly.
