  1. I really can't see what the great problem is here. What they are posing with are renewable resources and, one would assume, are a managed commodity. If a country can gain financially from their wildlife management then good luck to them. What is the difference between these trophy shots and a picture of a dead salmon from the Tweed?
  2. Ask Pierre at Cassien....loads of them on the walls
  3. Not sure whether this is an example of the 'rose tinted syndrome' but the modern day 'Times' and 'Mail' bear little resemblance to their former selves. Is it the contributors? Who can forget such writers as Bill Keal, Tom Williams, Dick Walker, DCF, FJ etc. Now it seems we are stuck with that pseudo countryman Des Taylor. As for their use of alliteration....enough said! Come to think of it the monthlies are not much better. Same old thing churned out.....Julian Cundiff rearranging the same article.....Tony Miles has churned out the same stuff for years. I could go on! Grrr!
  4. Never mind those photos......click on the women and catfish. Far nicer.
  5. Good stuff.....waiting for the last strip of wheat to be cut and trying to catch the rabbits: moving the last bales in the stack and the mayhem that followed with sticks, dogs, men and kids flying in all directions after the rats: fishing in 'bottomless' pits: riding a 350 Matchless(brakeless) around the fields: making bows and arrows....et al. Fantastic times.
  6. I haven't got the link but the Teifi Trout Association site has an excellent article describing all you need to know re. dendrobeanas
  7. Are they all English? Does N. Ireland figure? If so No. 43 would be Enniskillen.

    Puzzle?

Thanks. Finished and time for bed.

    Puzzle?

Help! This is infuriating. Anyone know how to find the red wheel?
  10. Swim across...all the crocs are at the meeting.
  11. Rabies has been carried by Daubenton's bats in this country since dot. It's only that the authorities have chosen not to divulge this information that there is such 'shock, horror' to the news.
  12. Casting at the Sun.....still one of the most evocative books published.
  13. Hope this is of some help. For some great Autumn and Winter shots invest in a polarizing lens...brilliant blue skies and amazing leaf colour. Have you thought about a macro lens for the wildlife that doesn't run away?
  14. Still not convinced that the isn't a hint of xenophobia creeping in here. I think most of us are aware of historical facts re. Germany, France etc. Is it not a greater thing to do to look forward? Oh....and don't forget who 'invented' concentration camps!
