  1. Can anyone tell me how I go about putting a picture in my posts, so that comes out under my name...... I'm feelin' a bit left out as eveyone else has one, sniff, sniff..... Thanx Paul
  2. I haven't really fished St Brelades that much to be honest. I've fished the bay from a boat but never really had much success though. If you fancy some beach fishing, then Greve De Lecq and Plemont on the north coast are popular and both provide good sport, especially for flatties and rays. Cheers Paul
  3. Matt It pretty much depends on the time of year, but Corbiere lighthouse often produces decent Bass during the summer and autumn months, as well as the gullies around La Rocque and La Hocq during the summer. also Elizabeth Castle on a low tide fished on the seaward side. A word of warning though - if you fish the gullies around La Rocque & La Hocq, then fish the tide on the way out and leave at least an hour, possibly two, before low water to start making your way back to shore, as the tide comes in incredibly fast around here. You may want to check out for futher bass related info:-Jersey Bass La Saie on the north coast (not far from St Catherines breakwater) often fishes well at dawn using plugs. Walk down the slip, and fish from the rocky reefs which lead from the beach. If you fancy some good garfish / mackerel action, La Saie again on the opposite side if the slip, fishes well in the spring/summer. You might also what to try Noirmont Point too!! Regs Paul
  4. Hi Guys Many moons ago I heard of a chemical/drug that was used by charter skippers for dispatching congers. The powdered substance (haven't the foggiest what it was called) was mixed into a dustbin of seawater and the conger plonked in......the drug basically puts the little fella to sleep, some sort of powdered annistetic (apologies for the spellin'!!).....I would think the same stuff mixed in a bucket would do for flatties too..... 9. I don't know if this helps but I pay £119 a year for my mud berth, and that's for a 22 foot yacht, with access 3hours either side of high water. The Marina berths are £205.62 per metre per year on an annual contract, albeit that there's currently a 3 year waiting list for a berth!!! Winter contracts are available between October and March, which are about £10 per metre, depending on the length of the stay. Oh, these prices are for Jersey by the way. Cheers Paul web page
