  1. You are saying that foxes are being bred for hunting. Just tell us where! Hunting people do not intentionally hunt bag foxes! Bag foxes have been used by keepers so that they are not accused of wiping out all the foxes on their patch.
  2. That is not a map reference and is nowhere in this country anyway, let alone the New Forest. That place is going to be bombed very soon anyway. Greenwich is zero longitude remember. Now come on. Give us a map reference so that your LACS friends can sab it. Does "O.S grid reference" jog your memory? I'm surprised you could only be accurate to 1 M.O.A. Of course we can start talking about Northings and Southings if you like.
  3. You don't even know what a map reference is ,do you? If, as you say, foxes are being bred and released, then they must be in captivity somewhere, so tell us where. [ 10. March 2003, 01:39 AM: Message edited by: H Jampton ]
  4. Probably dreams of becoming a civil servant, or is it a civil master. All pigs are equal, but some are more equal than others.
  5. Could you give us a map reference please!
  6. Man.U are still laughing all the way to the bank!!
  7. Some years ago, I offered a person £25,000 for her old tin bungalow standing in an acre, thinking someone was bound to offer her a lot more, but it would get the ball rolling. The next thing I hear is that she's sold the place for £6,500 and given it to someone else to look after so that she could still get benefits. The person she gave it to, promptly spent it! There are some really stupid people about and Liam, you appear to have just joined the club. Put your cash down as a deposit on another house. You can take in a lodger for £60.00 a week tax free. You are then on the property ladder and within 10 years, you should have enough not to have need for a day job, or benefit. Of course, it could be that you are just a lazy little b****r and would rather lie in bed and watch everybody else earning a fortune and then vote for the socialists to take it all off them to keep you on benefit.
  8. Is this the first sign of withdrawl symptoms. Nice to find a person with principles. No job, but principles. I know the feeling.
  9. Shotgun cartridges containing Bismuth shot are used extensively in the UK for shooting wildfowl as a non-toxic substitute for lead. It is harder than lead and does not distort as readily as lead doeson inpact with flesh. For this reason, it is inferior to lead because it is more likely to pass through the bird without giving up all it's energy. This has resulted in a lot of wounding, broken bones etc., but the birds don't die through lead poisoning. They are usually killed by gulls!! A better material, for use where lead was once used, is Molybdenum but finding it is the problem. It is a little lighter than lead and almost as soft. Cartridges containing 'Molyshot' were being made, but no-one appears to know where they are available. There was talk that they were all for export to Holland. [ 07. I was told yesterday that the 'first' £5M will only account for 5,500 Ruddy Duck. To get rid of the last 500 will cost another £5M.Lord knows how they work that out.
  11. We are in the 'Information Age'. Perhaps yoxer would like Blair and Bush to publish all their intelligence data on Anglers' Net. We've had enough of fighing with one arm tied behind our back in Ulster. Now the likes of Tam Dalyell, Anthony Wedgewood Benn and yoxer, want us to show our hand before we start. I, for one, thought that there was too much stuff being broadcast as the Falklands fighting was going on.
  12. Don't forget to hang a piece in the cider barrel, or do you use a stillborn for that?
  13. Had a look at one these today. The company that make them, also make the Stanley tool boxes. They are made in Israel. I would say it is more suited to fishing than anything other than a DIY tool chest. Not long enough to get a proper hand saw in anywhere. I nearly bought one, but thought I would check back her first. There were, down either inside of the base compartment, some vertical guides that looked as if they could be used for placing dividers, and I wondered if something had been removed from the example that I was looking at. Didn't have time to experiment. Any comments? I'll probably go back tomorrow and get it, £27.98!!!

I think it's more a case of the R.S.P.B. doing the persuading, of the Government. It will be D.E.F.R.A. who spends the money, (£833.00 per bird), not the R.S.P.B.
  16. Yoxer If the West is such a terrible place, why don't you go and live in the East? They need some more human shields in Iraq because, according to reports, the double decker bus brigade have run out of money and are on their way home!! If you want a good health service, they say Cuba is a good place to find one!! [ 03. March 2003, 07:58 PM: Message edited by: H Jampton ]
  17. Might have to send for this chap! http://www.boardogs.com/Aboutme.htm
  18. From the film on a TV programme that I saw, they don't have too. The lead hound on the film seemed quite capable of doing it on it's own.

  21. Hunting appears to be more acceptable if done on foot and by a using a smaller number of dogs, as in the Fells. Why is this??

The concern is that the White-headed duck will become extinct as a seperate species because these alien males (Ruddy Ducks) are such aggressive breeders. What a pity there is no such concern for the equally threatened Anglo-Saxon human.
