Hi Paul welcome to anglers net,you will get used to the way people think on this forum,some seem quite mad and some even madder but all seem to know what they are talking about,you will find that if you ask a lot you will learn a lot and don't be put off by the occasional bouts of sarcasm and razor like wit ok DG all i can tell you is that unless you are loaded like poldark then don't spend a fortune on takle,just get the basics and build up slow,i was floatfishing with my cheap takle next to a lad with a 2 grand pole and i caught more than him(1 actually). good luck and tight lines. Hi all, the main reason i asked is the guy down at white acres said that when we get there the fishing should be good providing the fish werent spawning,so knowing my luck we will have a bleeding heatwave and they will all be dropping. if i fell into a bucket of t*ts i'd come up sucking my thumb.

Hi all, i know that perch spawn relativly early compared to other species but does anyone know when the others start spawning in stillwaters and what are the pros and cons,someone told me if they start spawning the bu**ers wont bite,does that mean male and female or just female?

I think i have finally decided on the right one,it is a shakespere golden eagle,just a couple of questions,1st is the price right at 47 pounds it sounds a bit cheap to some i've had recommended,2nd will using it in salt water shorten it's life. cheers Bigman. :confused:

Hi dizi, i have used askari quite a lot,they are very prompt and curteous,you get what you pay for however and if it don't cost much don't expect much. the quality stuff is very good though and i have a nice rod and reel. their e.mail is http://www.askari-fishing.co.uk tight lines. Bigman.

hi all my family and i are having a few days in cornwall in two weeks time,my son has said he would like to (gently) have a go at sea fishing,now before all you course fishermen say bu**er off it's because i don't have much idea about tackle ect so any basic help would be appreciated.

ps,sorry tony but i mean does anyone know of some good places to stay after about four hours from yorkshire,that would put us round about gloucester or bristol. :confused:
