  1. Easy on Southampton please Gillies, that's my local team.
  2. No, I don't have any Norman ancestry. Pure Pict me. Dark hair, blue eyes. [ 28. June 2004, 03:34 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
  3. I know enough not to bet on England winning, or to swallow all the media hype about your team.
  4. For 'Normans' read French. Normans were lead by Guillaume, Duc du Normandie!, and they had NO chance of getting over the border even if they had wanted to. I doubt that they were worried about hair colour. REAL Normans have blond or red hair anyway. William the Conqueror was well known for his red hair. You english don't really know much about your history at all do you?
  5. Not much point in that, the Canadians always beat us at curling
  6. [ 28. June 2004, 02:04 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
  7. BluezuluIt might just be kinder on the English if you never qualified either. It is not as if you have EVER won the competition, and 1966 is getting to be ancient history theses days [ 28. June 2004, 02:42 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
  8. What exactly is it that we are meant to be jeleaus of? Having a football team that was kicked out of a competition by a team that cannot beat Greece is not something that brings out the green streak in me.
  9. You'll be getting us 'Sweaty Socks' a bad name again, Andy
  10. the difference between us and you is you can`t spell (taht)!!!! taht's ma' boy
  11. Jim, please forgive my ignorance but would that be Chesil Beach?
  12. Not at all. I was _really_ looking forward to watching a France v England final, and I think that you were robbed last night. It should not have gone to penalties. Who do you think will win tonight, France or Greece?
  13. Main difference between us and you is taht we have a crap team and we know it.
  14. I am not the worlds greatest expert on the rules of Assosciation Football, but isn't there a rule that says that a player is not allowed to touch the goalie when he is in his box? The photo on the back of todays Sun clearly shows an arm in a England shirt on the Portugese goalies shoulder. Just wondering
  15. You could always go to Southampton and try for a mullet, a snip at 128.6 Km
  16. You tell him Little Onions, that is the way it should be done. For the life of me I could never work out why parents who feel the need to whack their kids brought them to Asda to do it
  17. Sounds to me as if your gym teacher was a perv who should be on the Sex Offenders Register.
  18. Hokay here goes. I was born in Helensborough in 1960 and spent most of my formative years in and around Loch Lomond, in places like Arden, Balloch, Bonhill and Alexandria (before you ask; no it is not in Egypt ). At 16 I 'ran away to sea' I.E. I joined the Merchant Navy (once upon a time, in the days before Maggie Thatcher the UK had one of them) I don't really support any Scottish football teams, but if you force me to chose one then it will be Inverness Clachnacuddan, just so that I can p!ss-off any Caley fans who _might_ be on AN
  19. This at least is true. I am not really a football fan, I have only ever been to one match in my whole life. However this tournament has been really good and has kindled an interest. Maybe it is because I have been working away from home in the last couple of weeks, staying in hotels on my own and there has not been a lot to do at nights apart from sitting in the bar watching the football. I will be watching the Portugal v England game tonight and i am looking forward to see Rooney and Ronaldo playing on the same pitch.
  20. Just had a check on the BBC web site, this bit was out of date two days after it was posted!
