  1. these links might help...... http://www.fishinscotland.net/kingennie.htm http://www.disabilitybenefits.co.uk/hot-ta...ide_region1.htm all the best bubbles....
  2. could not alot of it be due to the fact that they also find carping a little to hard... i mean they see a picture of a specimen carp on the front page of a mag they just picked up ....... in pops the idea (i would love for that to be me behind that fish in the picture instead of him)then they set out getting geared up for carp .... then after a while it hits home and they discover they aint gonna catch the "big one" after 1 session... then they turn to thinking that this is alot harder than banging out a few silver fish and others alike...and revert back to float rod. as far as "too commercialised" goes, yes in some instances the "o.t.t" comes into it alot but having said that it usually comes with a whole heap of passion and love for the fish in question. and as for the man who had the cunning and patience to get two tone to grace the bank in all her glory..i raise my glass to you..well done m8.... carp fishing forever......
  3. heres a site with a little bit of info that might be of interest... http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/subje...rsion=1&lang=_e
  4. well on a nice little video set i have called "a passion for angling" chris yates and bob james discuss a stocking record for a estate lake which would suggest the fish were upto 60 years of age.... and also with redmire pool...once again the fish in the lake probably reaching ages of 60 years ... thats not to say that the carp in question is gonna be that old..... different venues = different growth rates..but i also would be interested if anyone has any relevant links on the fish in question.......
  5. well , being as ive never caught a mullet before i could'nt argue that one... what sort of depths are you pulling them up from btw >>>>> and what sort of tackle are you using for them ???
  6. thats bloody awful.. i can assure you that the above mentioned will be receiving my emails......................
  7. i could argue this one... i would have to disagree with you on that one........... obviously tackle has to be taken into account........but lets say for instance you took your float set up..and caught a 5 lb carp and a 5lb tench on it the carp would give just as hard a scrap as the tench would !!
