  1. http://www.andalusianfruits.com/ Here you go Charlotte...Picked when ripe direct from the tree and delivered to your door in a box...26€ including all taxes and transport (for 7Kg). Only here of course..
  2. possibly because of the change in climate, they are now grown commercially here..They weren't before. Hopefully you lot in the frozen UK will benefit from cheaper/fresher fruit in the near future.
  3. I wasn't there to eat unfortunately, although i wish i stayed, it looked good. What are you saying? That the British should stay in their own country and never move? Seems a strange attitude, which of course you are entitled to. What of the British businesses, small and big? From little shops to Barclays....Serves them right for having ambition i suppose....
  4. I feel sorry for the reported 800,000 British that live and work in Spain. They have now the uncertainty of whether they are going to be able to use their homes year round as they do now, or carry on with their businesses. ( Non EU people can only live in their properties for two 90 day periods in any calender year) At the moment they have total freedom to do both, the pensioners also enjoy free healthcare under the reciprocal agreement, and get their pensions with the same periodic rises as if they were in Britain. I tried to ask "Her Majesties Ambassador to Spain" Giles Paxman this lunchtime when i was invited to a lunch meeting he attended with the Brit consulate to Alicante and a number of Spanish politicians and VIPs, what his opinion was on the matter with regard to British immigrants...But he refused to make any comment on the subject. Very helpful to the worried British....
  5. I couldn't cope with that! Sorry no chance.. Started off windy here, but when it dropped it reached 16c in the shade. Not bad, and ideal for doing some clean ups on the land. Brought in a good number of oranges too. I have to go to London mid Feb, do you think it would be best to get a flight into a London airport? Or one further South such as Bristol? Which is going to be affected least by the snow?
  6. From your own link you have just put up.... Quote Meanwhile the US Ambassador to the UK, Louis Susman, has become the latest senior US figure to warn against the UK leaving the EU. Unquote............
  7. Happy birthday Newt! Hope you have a great day.
  8. It is pretty clear Barry that you have no answer to the overwhelming number of business, and indeed governments (including that of the biggest economy in the world) that are saying the opposite. The link even points out that the financial centre of London is against exit....... I guess Nigel knows best...No hope for you.
  9. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/industry/9813184/Ford-and-BMW-warn-against-UK-exit-from-EU-as-David-Cameron-readies-historic-speech.html In relevance to Corys still unanswered question about what would the response of car makers like Nissan be to an EU exit.........Their reaction would probably be the same as that of Ford, BMW and the city of London financial centre as shown in the link above. Might as well ask one more time....Does Nigel Farage really know better??????
  10. Oddly enough...In many places like Barcelona no...
  11. My god that looks cold...Dont know how you cope with it!
  12. And now we are trying to get rid of them. Literally tons have been taken out of the Ebro and killed as they are killing everything else. Penalties for introducing them into other waters include jail terms, and when one was found by chance in the "Albufera" wetlands North of me it made headlines, and i mean in the mainstream papers. Thr Albufera was intensively netted for a full week after that to see if there were more around. None turned up. They have to be reported (and killed)if we catch them anywhere other where they are already established.
  13. Had a shower this morning...Everyone came out their houses to look
  14. That was a CLOSE SHAVE.......................................
  15. I think that the best idea is to really buy just what you need, to cut down on waste.Plus buy what is in season. Im paying just 1,20€ per kilo of pears/apples at the moment, while i have my own oranges which are free. But when the prices go up i just buy a different fruit. I eat fish 3 or 4 times week, and the prices change a lot. Really important to be aware so you don't pay too much.
  16. Thanks. We have a family book too.It sounds the same. It is sufficient to be used as ID for children under 14 years old travelling on internal flights with their ID card carrying parents. Ryanair have been refusing to allow children to board using this as proof of ID, despite it being National law. They say that as an Irish airline they fly under Irish law..(even in Spain???)...They have just backed down as the fines/compensation to people refused boarding climbed to over 1 million euro. Over 14 everyone has to have an ID card, but most do well before. You cannot get a Spanish passport without ID card/nationality here.
  17. I would still want a passport though...Is it a complicated process?
  18. It is possible to go off people quickly on here.....................................
  19. We can do that in Granada Steve. Ski in the morning, beach in the afternoon.
  20. I had read about that before, and knew about the condition of having a sign up to say where the money came from. I remember one of the British tabloids saying they were being "blackmailed"............ No sign = no money. Just put a sign up! We did.
  21. And my village got nice new streets...Thanks for that.
  22. That was in the papers here weeks ago. They have also analysed future orbits and confirmed that it will noy impact on the next return either.
  23. You could always apply for French nationality as soon as you are eligible? Then it would not matter.
