    Spitting

Graham, they're petty compared to spitting, the kidney pinch mine's still intact.
  2. The greatest insult to me is being spat upon, not yet but woe betide the person who does  the footballer El Hadji Diouf has recently been fined a couple of weeks wages for this atrocious of insults, read here... From Manchester Online Diouf spitting shame FACING CHARGE: El-Hadji Diouf BOLTON striker El-Hadji Diouf looks certain to be charged by the FA today despite being hit by a maximum two-week club fine for the latest sordid spitting incident to scar his career. The Senegalese international was handed instant justice by chairman Phil Gartside and manager Sam Allardyce for spitting at Portsmouth captain Arjan de Zeeuw during the second half of Saturday's 1-0 home defeat. Referee Steve Dunn missed the incident but former Wigan star de Zeeuw reported it to him. Ugly They acted quickly last week, citing Blackburn's Steven Reid for improper conduct when TV cameras caught him elbowing Birmingham's Jesper Gronkjaer. Apology The FA look sure to act, whether or not Dunn mentions it in his report and even though de Zeeuw said he doesn't want to pursue an official complaint against Diouf who has made a personal apology. Gartside and Allardyce fined 23-year-old Diouf for a serious breach of club discipline and said in a statement: "The club does not tolerate such behaviour from its players and we had no alternative but to invoke the maximum fine. "Bolton take great pride in its very proactive family image and the incident has left a sour taste. "We do not condone the actions taken by the player and for that he has been severely punished." Diouf said: "I deeply regret my actions and wish to publicly apologise to Arjan De Zeeuw and Portsmouth Football Club. "I have let down my manager, Sam Allardyce, and team-mates." I think its time to come down very hard on this despicable of pastimes. Get rid, its not the first time he has done this.
  3. There are more scots in England than there are in their own country, we're always beating them at something or other, must be all masochists.
  4. Now if you said the bouncer was Italian....
  5. Have a look here, shop around for best buy. http://veals.co.uk/acatalog/Veals_Catalogu...gue_ABU_68.html
  6. I hasten to say, shortens the butt.
  7. Morc... I would without reservation, recommend the Abu Conolon uptider 9' 6",it has a twist lock which shortens the rod when reeling in, seen it in action, a lovely rod.
  8. Today is a very special day for one little girl, her name is Connie Lea, its her 6th birthday. santa Last year, the Mersey Pirates organised a charity match on the Alex Dock wall to help Connie Lea have a more comfortable life with her breathing problem, Steve Davis ( seen here on Connies right) was one of the chief organisers of this event.... see here... http://www.castandcatch.com/connie/connie.htm
  9. If they win, you and I can come here and smile.
  10. Leedsunited quote: are the dates at the start when it ends Leeds, the ends are never at the start as this is the beginning where there is no ends, always start the opposite end of the ends as this makes for a fine beginning.
  11. Peter, thank you for finally answering my question, I put it to you because of your statement..... quote: Anglers can still fish, provided they go as a party, which, from a point of view of safety might be a good idea. I usually fish alone also where does that leave me? John, excellent literary genre.
  12. This is what the internet is all about, speak your mind, most of it is in jest I do not know Sanctuary from Adam but I must say I agree with what he says.
  13. Peter, what are you on about, single? It was not I who posted about that, I asked how many friends do YOU go fishing with? Our words are falling on deaf ears you (as in some of the posters on here) chat about sticking together, codswallop. I Remember the Country Alliance thread, Peter you were against that as you were the hunting one Next you will want to ban fishing out of Norfolk.
  14. Maybe the Liverpool 2 had them in their holdalls.
  15. Chevin, grow up man Mersey Pirates, its the name of their club, they're a decent bunch of lads, ranging from teens to pensioners They often go on jaunts to Weymouth and always carry their flag wherever the wind takes them, its a man thing I am convinced some of you do not take in what has been posted on here you have been shown the facts, just two lads who want to fish, one of them losing his business through the loss of permits, been taken from them because of so called terrorism, when the IRA were bombing everywhere, the docks were open to all anglers, no one person was challenged then. To reiterate, you can drive in the docks, walk around and nothing is said, take out your rods and you get arrested, I rest my case. Peter, you have not answered my question?
  16. I think ******Winter*****would be safer in Iraq than Liverpool Peter, how many friends do YOU go fishing with?
  17. Lyn, forgive me if I sound harsh but you must open a door to enter or exit these men are not thoughtless anglers, one of those men is losing his business through the loss of permits for God sake!! I would bet on it that the security would know the face of one of them, he practically lives on the "wall". You know quite well, when you have a local park and are a constant walker around the lake, faces become familiar, its the same with one of these men.
  18. Well!!! you know the british public, we jump down people's throats before we learn the facts. I must add that access to the "Alex Wall" area was allowed to permit holders....this has recently been denied and the excuses are terrorist crap. Go down yourselves and see, most anyone can drive in without being stopped and as I stated before, take your rods out and its a NO! NO!.
  19. You dont get it do yers, these two lads have fished this area for many years along with other regulars, you can drive, even now, into the port most times without being stopped but as soon as they see you fishing its a NO NO!! and stop chatting about cameras, come on two scousers terrorists? they're only muggers and layabouts arnt they?
  20. I didnt know where Killamarsh was ... but I do now thanks to Paul.
  21. Arhtur, I use 15lb and 18lb with a 50lb shockleader. I've never had one snap on me yet maybe when I cast more than 35yds I might think of going heavier.
