John. I have fished multiplier since I was a kid day or night , last year I bought a penn 525 mag. At first I set the magnets to slow and learned to cast, as I grew in confidence I backed the magnets off, getting some fair distances. Every now and then I'd knock the magnet setting by accident resulting in birdies, eventually gor fed up and went back to fixed spool. I use a shimano gt8000 and penn renegade and can easily outcast most of the leds in my club. I'm happy casting with a fixed spool even with my eyes closed. I suppose what I'm saying is " if it feels good, do it " Tight lines--John
