this is great i am sticking with a cross breed i have caught a few funny looking flatfish before but never took any notice still need to get 1 that glowa in the dark though

there are more leathal things out there instead of seals 1. trawlers - 2. nuke subs 3.oil platforms tankers 3.sewage 4.us anglers as well all kill fish i watch the seals as when they are about i can judge the sea trout runs

15/10/05 Riverside Drive Dundee weather: Overcast Bait: Mackerel Fish Caught: 6 Arrived at wall after rushing home from work to meet up with Brian , and as usual he was late and i was late as well but still down before him. Started to fish getting a few good bites then he arrived with clan in tow, just as he came up to me my rod tip went again a double hitter of small flounder. Things started to get more hetic more bites well nibbling . This went on until his daughter caught a small codling followed by his son a nice flounder. then things went quiet as the crabs came in thick and fast , then his sons rod went again another no bad flounder. 5 mins later i caught my last flounder Brian never caught any he blanked again. Still no sign of the sea trout yet but heres hoping

10/09/05 Riverside Drive Dundee Weather: Overcast Wind Dropping Bait: Herring , Mackerel , Ragworm Fish Caught: 5 Arrived at wall waiting on Brian casted out a flounder first cast followed by a nother flounder second cast , thought it was going to be a great session . Brian arrived i caught another flounder, the bites kept coming but most were crabs stealing bait . After a hour of the crabs stealing the bait i caught my 4th flounder then it was back to the crabs again just pity they were not peeling the amount i had could have made a fortune. Then around hugh water bang Brian's rod went a trout bite and he lost it due to trying to reel in and lighting his roll up ?????. About 15 mins later he caught his first flounder. then it was back to the crabs and weed and plenty of both. I thought he was coming with his clan so i just went to the wall if i knew he was the only one i would have went across the bridge.

good for sea trout as well as thurso angler says just cast out when maky are about also you maight catch small coalies

you better believe it and also added bonus watching the sea trout jump and the odd salmon skimming across the water. just wish it was a all day. also need to get up to your neck of the woods soon

20/08/05 Wormit , Fife , Scotland Weather: sun , light wind Bait: herring , mackerel Fish caught: 10 Arrived at wormit walked along beach a bit set up first rod within 1min caught my first flounder 1lb . Fishing started good with plenty of bites baits were getting ripped off as they were fresh, i caught my second 5 mins later. Things were still going ok with bites constant , i caught my 3rd and 4th a double hitter. Sun was still shinning and i caught my 5th still good size , Brian still not had one he was getting a bit fed up then i caught my 6th flounder. Brian finally caught a flounder a smallish one but still caught one and i caught my 7th flounder and he went red in the face . Everthing went quiet as a seal was going up and down then the jet skiers were about not that close in bu enough to scare it off then with that bites started again i caught my 8th flounder Brian caughthis second then after that bites started to slow. A good afternoon out will be there again. Biggest flounder was just over the 2lb mark
